In September 2011, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine by learning how to scuba dive. Kwajalein Atoll (Republic of the Marshall Islands) boasts world-class diving, with warm, clear water full of vibrant coral reefs, diverse marine life, and many interesting World War II ship and plane wrecks. I moved to Kwajalein in July 2011 to take a position as a weather forecaster, and lost no time in getting underwater. I was amazed by what I saw, so I decided to upgrade my DSLR camera (to a Canon 7D), purchase an underwater housing and strobes, and learn as much as I could about underwater photography. Here is a sample of my work, from both scuba diving and snorkeling / free diving.
