I moved to Oklahoma in mid-June 2006, to begin my M.S. work at the University of Oklahoma. As I didn't move until after the chase season had passed its prime, I only went on two fall chases this year. These two chases yielded supercells, which was great for the fall, but they only whet my appetite for spring storms.
I still didn't really know much of anything about storm chasing in 2006, but I learned quickly by experience and spent time in the off-season learning what I could for spring 2007. I owe my thanks to those who were willing to take me out chasing this year and show me the ropes.
